'Coral garden..?

'Coral garden..?

Close up of a Sundew (Drosera rotundifolia) carnivorous plant.

This is a carnivorous plant that attracts insects by offering a sweet sticky treat and then ensnares them with thick sticky glue like mucilage so they cannot escape. Then plant enzymes break down the prey and the Sundew absorbs the resulting soup through the surface of it's leaf. This supplements the poor nutrients found in the ground and allows the plant to survive and grow.

When I looked at this photograph, it reminded me so much of a coral garden; hence the title. Hope you like the photo.
